Confirmation

"And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, and who has also put his seal on us and given us his spirit in our hearts as a guarantee."
                                                                                              2 Corinthians 1: 21-22

The Sacrament of Confirmation is the completion of the "Sacraments of Initiation" into the Catholic Church. Calling for a greater outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit received at Baptism.

High School Confirmation

The program includes one year of "catechesis" followed by one year of "confirmation preparation." At St. Angela Merici Parish, young people will automatically receive confirmation preparation in their 10th grade year. So, any 11th or 12th graders who have not received this sacrament are welcome to prepare with them.  Anyone 10th -12th grades entering Confirmation Preparation needs to have completed Faith Formation, LifeTeen, or CCE the prior year or attend Catholic High School.

Adult Confirmation

Adult Confirmation is for adult Catholics who have never been confirmed but are living a Catholic life. Adults who have been Baptized, and received First Eucharist; should call the parish office for and speak with the Director of Faith Formaion to discuss their eligibility for Adult Confirmation Preparation. Adult Confirmation is celebrated on Pentecost Sunday. Our next classes will begin immediately following Easter, and Adult Confirmation will be on Pentecost Sunday, June 12, 2011.
