EDGE is a vibrant middle school youth ministry program of relevant and interactive catechesis for our young people which follows the catechetical components put forth by our Archdiocese. The program (which is for youth in grades 6–8) will provide opportunities for gathering together for prayer, learning the Scriptures, small group discussions, community service, fun social events, and always...FOOD!
* The most important thing to know about CORE is that we are in this journey WITH our youth! We are not above or below them, but with them every step of the way and we lead by example.*
We have established a team of adults whose focus is to plan and implement the components of the EDGE nights, including (but not necessarily limited to) proclaiming teaching sessions, serving as small group leaders, and praying with and for our middle school youth. We are always happy to accept as volunteers adults willing to serve Wednesday evenings in any of the following capacities.
We would like to have a mix of parents, young adults and senior adults; single and married who wish to teach and advise our teens.
TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED IN ALL ASPECTS OF CORE TEAM RESPONSIBILITY:
Small Group Leaders (CORE)
Front Desk and Attendance/ Building Security
Media Facilitator
Snack Team Leader / Server
Substitute
Special Events / Service Projects
