The EMHC lay ministers assist the Priest with the distribution of the Body and Blood* of Christ to the
faithful at Mass, as well as those in the hospital or homebound.

The requirements for serving as an EMHC are:
- A fully initiated Catholic at least 18 years old or a senior in high school and have received the Sacraments of First Eucharist and Confirmation.
- Living an exemplary Catholic way of life, with no impediments to sacramental reception. If married, must be a Catholic Marriage.
- Willing to attend Ministry specific educational meetings in the basic theology of the Eucharist as well as the proper handling of the Body and Blood of Christ.
- Be certified in CMG Safe Environment according to Archdiocesan guidelines. You can complete the training HERE.
